An invitation to local churches to partner with CAP Weston-super-Mare from January 2027

THE RELAUNCH

On 1 January 2027, Christians Against Poverty is relaunching in Weston-super-Mare - bringing free, professional debt help back to families across our town and Worle. Between 2016 and 2024, CAP Weston helped 68 local families become completely debt-free. This time, we are prayerfully drawing a wider group of churches together with a clear plan and an even stronger commitment to our community.

Our new Centre Manager, Donna Pilgrim - known to many through her years with Weston-super-Mare Foodbank and recently licensed as a Reader across Christ Church and Emmanuel Church - takes up post in early 2027.

THE ASK

A shared commitment, a shared impact

Our estimated annual running cost is £30,000 — covering the Centre Manager’s salary, office costs, travel, training and CAP UK’s own contribution. We’re trusting that the churches of our town will each commit to an ongoing monthly gift.

We’re hoping the balance of our running costs will be raised through individual donations, community fundraising and corporate sponsorships — so every gift, of every size, plays its part!
